Esperance, Albany and the sensational South West

Welcome to a New Year!
Christmas found me in Queensland housesitting my sisters beautiful property while Steve was slogging away at the mine.....hardly fair is it??? So.....when I finally returned to WA we happily planned an 8 day romantic adventure in the South West.
On a stinking hot 40 degree day in Dongara, we left early morning to drive through country towns 11 hours to Esperance. It was a great day to be driving in air conditioned comfort as WA was experiencing a heat wave. Found a doggie cemetery  and wandered through reading all the dedications to "man's best friend".
After swapping the luxury of a motel room to camping, we began our exploration of this beautiful area.  Cape Le Grand National Park was simply awesome.  From there to Albany and then through the great forests, where we wandered through the tree tops marvelling at the size of these giants. The landscape and scenery changes were dramatic.  I'll let the photos tell the story......
