Sunshine Coast with Steve

It was a whirlwind trip back East mostly to catch up with Steves family on the Sunshine Coast....and to see what was on offer at the Brisbane caravan and camping show. Before flying out we meet up with our good friends Julie and Darryl from Daylesford in Victoria who are on the West coast with their family.  Qantas has made a killing out of our flights back and forth across the country!
There was lots of laughter and puzzling over crosswords as we sat around the table with all of Steves family in beautiful Mount Coolum. I couldn't resist reading all the real estate brochures and continue believing we will, someday, settle in this gorgeous part of the Sunny Coast.
Although our time there was brief, it was a much needed, and happy break for Steve.
Naturally I also find time to spend with some of my tribe and was grateful my son drove up to Brizzy to see me...and his mates....

Tuzees tour to Dongara

Paige needed some driving hours so our Tuzee family (minus Courtney) took the long country road to Dongara in Johns new car. Well there were many laughs and lots of storytelling for 2 days. John and I go back a long way, and it felt like the years had melted away and we were in my Mothers kitchen as small children getting up to mischief. Shall miss seeing them sooo...much when we eventually head back east...Love you guys!

The Big Boys fly West

One day I just booked 2 seats on qantas to get Pa and brother John over to WA, then rang them up to tell them they were coming! Dad was always unsure of such a long trip and Johnny couldn't wait to get here...and then didn't want to leave when he did!!  They both loved Perth and our little home in Dongara and couldn't get enough of boats, maritime museums and the beautiful ocean views.  Steve had some time off so we caught up with our beloved Tuzee family. The boys did a Swan River cruise, a long walk through Kings Park and had to see the Perth mint before heading to Dongara.  I believe they went home with many happy memories and it was just a wonderful time together.

Back with Pa in Bundaberg

At our old home in Bundaberg we all spent hours in the garden, pruning, hacking, weeding....and always knowing that Mum was watching from above.  Dad is so happy with his horse and Sumo for company, but loves it when we are all home together.....and that we all do!

More family time!

Easter in Cynthia's garden

Cynthia has created a gorgeous garden and it was the perfect place to celebrate Easter with some of the family in Queensland. I thought Dave made a particularly cute Easter Bunny!
